Dr. Frank G. Pogue, senior consultant, joined Academic Search in 2007 after serving as President of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania for eleven years. Dr. Pogue’s career in higher education spans 45 years, and has included service in administrative posts of Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Special Programs at the State University of New York system office in Albany (1986 – 1996), Interim President at the State University of New York College at Cobleskill (1992 – 1993), Vice President for Student Affairs at State University of New York at Albany (1983 – 1986), and Associate Vice President for Research and Educational Development and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the State University of New York at Albany (1982 – 1983).
Presently, Dr. Pogue’s professional involvements include being a member of the IAUP/UN Commission on Disarmament, Conflict Resolution and Peace, a CAPE Executive Board Member, a member of ACE’s Commission Women in Higher Education, and at AASCU he serves as: Chair of the Millennium Leadership Initiative, Committee on Professional Development, a Millennium Leadership Initiative Mentor, and a member of the Christa McAuliffe Selection Committee.
Dr. Pogue graduated from Alabama State University with a B.A. in Sociology. He received a M.A. in Sociology from Atlanta University, and he was granted a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh.
